Autumn Member Dinner and Presentation on INL!
By lwoodruff @ 3:40 PM :: 397 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Action Alert!

Join the Snake River Alliance for a night of good food, great company, and a new presentation on radioactive waste and cleanup at the Idaho National Lab. With Idaho in the news as a potential interim storage site for new commercial radioactive waste, it is a critical time to learn about what waste is already here. Find out what’s happening with 750,000 barrels of plutonium-contaminated waste dumped in unlined pits and trenches a...bove the Snake River Aquifer. Get an update on liquid high-level waste. The Alliance works diligently to monitor current clean-up efforts and to make sure the public is aware of Department of Energy’s environmental hazards. Our Fall Member Dinner will feature an informative and timely presentation by our nuclear program director, Beatrice Brailsford, who has worked for the Alliance for nearly 25 years. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about what sits above Idaho’s drinking water.
