Nuke Developer to SEC: It Doesn't Look Good
By lwoodruff @ 3:49 PM :: 1111 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Bruneau nuclear reactor, SRA News Releases
AEHI, the nuke developer wannabe in Elmore County, filed its required SEC form Aug. 14, and it's not a pretty picture. The company's report paints a grim picture of a company in obvious distress just a week after it announced it’s looking for another county or even state lands for the project. AEHI is short of cash, short of prospects for getting any cash, and now is casting around Idaho for another location for its reactor scheme. Even Sen. Mike Crapo says AEHI overstated his support for the project.

By lwoodruff @ 3:04 PM :: 1063 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Nuclear Power, Bruneau nuclear reactor, SRA News Releases
The would-be developer of a nuclear reactor on the Snake River says he’s so tired of Elmore County not giving in to his demands that he’s thinking of taking his Nomad Nuclear Scheme to another county that may be more accommodating. AEHI CEO Don Gillispie says "several Idaho counties and the state" have rolled out the red carpet for his reactor, although that comes as news to the state and he doesn't identify the counties.

Would-Be Elmore Nuke Plant Financier Shutting Its Doors
By lwoodruff @ 3:14 PM :: 905 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Nuclear Power, Bruneau nuclear reactor, SRA News Releases
The Texas firm that Elmore County nuclear reactor developers identified less than a year ago as their new financial partner told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday that it may restructure but for now “is no longer conducting business operations and is in the process of winding up.” The closure of Powered Corporation of Houston is yet more evidence that Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc., a recent transplant from Virginia and would-be developer of a 1,600MW nuclear reactor atop the Snake River outside of Hammett, is incapable of raising cash for its mystery reactor, said Snake River Alliance Executive Director Andrea Shipley.

For Immediate Release: Elmore Commissioners Consider Amendment to Elmore County Comprehensive Plan
By lwoodruff @ 9:28 AM :: 796 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Nuclear Power, SRA News Releases

Elmore County commissioners on Monday submitted a request to the Planning and Zoning commissioners to examine possible changes to the current comprehensive land use plan’s identification of areas for industrial development. By so doing they acknowledged that the current application to build a nuclear reactor along the Snake River is in violation of the comprehensive plan and their request means the plan, which took several years to develop with countywide input, would have to be significantly altered to allow for the proposed facility.

Elmore Commissioners Express Concerns about Nuke Rezoning

Elmore County commissioners on Monday raised serious questions about whether to rezone 1,300 acres of prime agricultural land for a speculative nuclear reactor, suggesting the project may fly in the face of the county’s comprehensive plan. Commissioners deferred a vote on the project, however, until next Monday.
